Skinny Spicy Beef Wrap

If you're trying to be good before summer comes, so you can sling your bikini on and not feel like hiding your head in the sand (okay, maybe this is a little extreme, but you get what I mean), this recipe is for you!

This delicious beef wrap is extremely low in fat, carbs, healthy, filling and good for you. Ok? It's also extremely easy to make, so once you've tried it will certainly become one of your favorites.

Just a note: My belly and body likes red meat, because it is filled with goodies; Vitamins (B12, B2, B6), Zinc and Iron to mention a few.

It also works if you're following a Dukan Diet, so munch away!

To feed 2 hungry people, here is what you'll need;

500g Lean beef mince
2 Handfulls of cherry tomatoes
4 Small tortilla wraps (you can choose brown or white)
Mix of green salad (watercress, spinach, rocket)
Half cup of fat free greek yogurt

4 Tablespoons of Chilli sauce
1 Green pepper
1 Green chilli
2 Cloves garlic
Small handful of corriander
A pinch of sea salt (you can read about the benefits of sea salt in your diet, here)
1 Teaspoon of olive oil
1 Tablespoon of Smoked Paprika Powder
1 Oxo Beef Cube
Juice of half a lemon

Optional - a small pinch of grated cheese.

Pop the meat into a heated saucepan (no oil needed) and add Oxo cube, paprika, chopped green pepper and green chilli. Stir it until it becomes nice and brown.

Switch on the oven to preheat it for tortilla warming.

On a separate grill pan add the tomatoes with your taeaspoon of olive oil, shake them round for about 8 minutes until they become mushy and soft looking something like this -

While your meat and tomatoes are steaming away, prepare a lovely mixture of coriander, garlic, lemon juice and salt. Use your mortar & pestle to crush everything together. Doesn't it smell divine? Put it aside to settle.

Now wrap your tortillas in foil and pop it in the oven, to have them nice and warm. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes.

Once the meat is ready, switch off the cooker and let it cool for a minute, then add your coriander mix and stir well. Almost there!

Final step once all is ready! You can choose a different routine, and quantities of stuff such as chill sauce, but my preferred option is; on a tortilla wrap, place mixed greens first, add the meat and tomatoes and cover it in chilli sauce topped with greek yogurt. If you chose to include cheese, sprinkle some of that there too for gooeyness. Voila!!

Dig in. Perfect mid-week guilt free treat. Needless to say, I had two... It's just so delicious!

Once your belly is satisfied, go and read your book or watch something cool and doze, week end is not so far away....

Meat Liquor – Best burger in town

OK lovely people, I am just too excited -
this is a new(ish) place for the BEST BURGER in London Town!! I am really lucky (or am I?), as it is situated right next to my office… so I have paid quite a few visits there already… what a guilty pleasure!

So, let me introduce you to Meat Licker Liquor  : It is just a perfect place for a cool hangout and (hands down) best burger I have ever tasted. It has no booking policy, so queue outside is usually a must (my favorite)! Get a beer before you go in, so you can enjoy a chat and a cold sip while you’re waiting, unless you arrive 12noon on the dot when they open (like I do) and sneak in before everyone else gets hungry.

They are really strict about their queueing policy so don’t try and use your ‘celebrity status’ (I saw one ‘celebrity’ being turned away and I tell you it was cringe) as it is not going to work.

So here we go…. wait for it…the mighty, gooey, …. wait for it…. melting in your mouth…. Delicious Epic Burgers –

Dirty Chicken Burger
Cheeseburger

Double Bubble - how nasty! Love it.

Whilst eating, you can gaze around to a really unusual decor and wall art. It is all very Vampirish, goes really well with bloody/meaty theme.

The toilets are very well named

Some more pretty strict rules -

They also have these yummy chilli cheese fries that are well filling. Or as you may have read in my previous blog -  ‘packing’. Most people wouldn’t be able to finish a burger and a full portion of chilli cheese fries, so share the love.

And overall, it's just a very cool place for lunch/dinner/hangout/starvation attack/date ..

Do you have any other burger places in mind that you think could compete with Meat Liquor? I would love to hear from you!
