We arrived on Thursday afternoon of Valentine's day. Before you feel a litlte sick, we honestly did not plan to go away for this occasion, and only after booking the tickets did we realise that it was on Valentine's. :-)
A very short journey in a car later we appeared at our gorgeous Riad - The Red House. As soon as we saw how idyllic and beautiful it was, we decided that for the rest of that day and the whole of next we will do absolutely nothing. We needed a well deserved lazy day in the sun with short breaks for food and naps. Markets, mosques and other cultural stuff can surely wait, right? Besides, we needed to work up energy for all of that. Little did we know...
We dropped all our stuff and sat ourselves in the terrace of our room, drinking coffee and chatting away. It felt very refreshing to be in a warm place compoletely care-free.
Lots of cups of tea and (decaf) coffee later we realised once again that it was, indeed, Valentine's and we decided to go out for a dinner. Abdul, the lovely manager of the Riad had arranged us a reservation and a car, so we were shortly whisked away for a great experience.
The traditional live music greeted us as soon as we entered and we felt like we were in another world. I have not seen such an outstanding service or such great and, hate to admit, romantic ambience - perfect place for the occasion. Abdul gave us a little advice to tip our waiter before the dinner, so we did, and oh boy was it worth it. We were treated as royals and we absolutely loooooved it.
5 courses and a couple of bottles of wine later, we came back to our four poster bed feeling (a little worse for wear, but very happy) very well welcomed to this magical place.
We wanted lapdancers, but bellydancers did the job.
Short summary of Valentine's I posted on Instagram.
Pale as paper...! But very happy.
Chilling in our terrace, catching the last ray of sun.

Hi Daniele, the skirt is from Topshop +2yrs. To be honest, I wouln't suggest it as a girs trip as you can get hassled quite a lot if you can grab some boys to acompany you, you will enjoy it LOADS more. x
