In the meantime, remember -

Also, you can follow me on Twitter for some real time updates of my adventures.

Back in Time

When I was little, I was always fascinated by other eras and how people lived many years ago. I can tell you that not much has changed. Luckily for me, finally, i got to go back in time -  to the medieval days!

I love experiencing different things, and I can assure you this was different. The regular club scene and all the glamour obviously didn't do it for me and i needed an alternative. Usually, in this situation I would choose a Burlesque show or something similar on the sexy side, but this was a perfect adventure!

Who needs glamour when you can bang the table shouting 'Wench' every time you want more drinks or food?!

It was very educational and lots of fun. How can it not be when there's 'All you can drink' policy? I wish I lived in the medieval times.

It wasn't at all about food this time, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it was a very very delicious medieval meal.

What do you think? Back to the future next time?

East-Street

Whilst in a constant search for new(ish) places to lunch or dine at, I am very happy to show you what i stumbled upon very recently. A perfect little place for lunch.

East-Street is an Asian restaurant situated just off Tottenham Court Road station, that opened its doors December last year. They serve some of the best picks from Japan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and a few more of my favourite places in the world. Needless to say, It will become one of my favourites.

The staff were extremely friendly and chatty. We nattered away about Asia, travel and food while looking around. I like it very much when staff are confident to make recommendations, and we had some great ones in East-Street.

East-Street have a great little Mini-Mart for those who love making oriental dishes at home. They have some of the best fish sauces that you can't find that easily anywhere else.

One of the most exciting things about East-Street, is that they have taken a small detail from each of Asian cultures and implemented into the restaurant. Such as plastic little chairs as per below - a staple of Vietnamese street food culture.

And having all of my asian food favorites in one place? Come on, it doesnt get any better.

The food was brilliant. Very authentic and fragrant with a hint of chilli to taste.

There was no need to make reservations for lunch, as they have quite a lot of tables, but it was buzzing with people nonetheless.

We were very naughty and treated ourselves to a Singapore Sling at lunchtime. Just couldn't resist!

Find this wonderful place here, and let me know if you do try it. I would love to hear what you thought of it.

Gorgeous Tote Bag

Over the last week, I was complimented on my new bag so many times, that I have decided to dedicate a blog post to it.

I was looking for a brown leather Tote bag for ages now. After i ruled out Prada and Mulberry, I was left with a very few places. I had to scream with joy when I found this tanned leather baby by Pieces on New Look website.

It looks like the brown one is out of stock at the moment, but here it is in Green.

I am very excited for this beauty to accompany me on my summer adventures.

DIY: Recycled Newspaper Gift Bags

Making something useful (I stress useful, as we have all at one point or another DIY’ed stuff that was completely pointless) and pretty is irresistible to me. When I came across this blog and  saw these little babies, I knew I was in trouble.

I used Financial Times newspaper and How To Spend It magazine to make mine. The wonderfully thorough instructions on how to make them are taken from this addictive blog by Jessica. I couldn’t describe the process better, so I decided not to even try.

It’s very exciting how different they can look depending on what newspaper was used. The Financial Times little bag has this wonderful retro feel to it, where the ‘How to Spend it’ one is a little more girly and fashionable. They can also be various sizes.
These gorgeous little babies can be used as gift bags, of course, but if you feel a little more jazzy and adventurous you can use it to organize your hair brushes for example!

I love it how the string comes right through her eye... sorry. A little immature.

Have some good fun making them and let me know how you got on. Show me the creative in you!
